Description
Within the Eldorado National Forest and part of the Desolation Wilderness sits a great trailhead with access to 3 different tails ranging in difficulty and length. This trailhead is popular and is often crowded on the weekends!
Hikers only have to travel about a mile up to see Fallen Leaf and Lake Tahoe. A wilderness permit is required to enter Desolation Wilderness. Day hikers may pick up the permit at the self-service area.
