Clearly-marked starting point for hikers & mountain bikers plus a gradual incline & smooth trail. This section of the bonneville shoreline trail ascends dry gulch to an overlook of salt lake city. The route begins at popperton park and follows a paved bike trail a short distance to a dirt singletrack at the bottom of dry gulch. This trail is quite popular with both hikers and mountain bikers. Mountain bikers can expect a steady climb with some loose, rocky sections that are lower intermediate in difficulty. Hikers of all ages and skill levels will enjoy this trail.
